Privacy policy
This policy covers the Onfeel iOS app (iPhone and iPad) and this website (onfeel.eurekable.space). Onfeel works without sign-up or login, and we do not collect personal information that identifies you.
- There are no accounts. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
- The app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.
- Scanned textbooks, recordings and notes are stored on your device — or in your own iCloud Drive if you turn on iCloud sync.
- Text recognition, handwriting recognition and usage statistics are processed on the device.
- Apple processes all payments. When you download a subscription pack, our server only verifies the signed transaction; it does not store or log it.
Information stored on your device
The app stores what you create on your device: scanned textbook images and PDFs, imported PDFs, handwriting, excerpts and their source information, lecture recordings, the search index, downloaded template and sticker packs, and app settings. We cannot access this material, and the app does not send it to our servers.
Usage statistics that help us improve the app (for example, how many pages were scanned and how long processing took) are computed on the device and never leave it.
Camera and microphone
The camera is used only to scan textbooks, and the microphone only to record lectures. Each permission is requested the first time you use that feature; if you decline, the rest of the app keeps working. Photos and recordings are stored on the device and are not sent to our servers. You can change these permissions at any time in Settings > Onfeel.
Text and handwriting recognition
Text recognition (OCR) on scanned pages and handwriting recognition run on the device. Images and handwriting are not sent to any server for recognition, and the recognized text and search index are stored on the device.
iCloud sync
If you turn on “Sync with iCloud” in Settings, your notes move to the Onfeel folder in the iCloud Drive of your own Apple Account and continue across devices signed in to that account. Nothing is moved until you turn it on. Apple stores and processes iCloud Drive data; we cannot access it.
Payments and subscription checks
Subscriptions are billed and processed by the Apple App Store. We never receive your card number, payment method or Apple Account details. The app applies subscription benefits based on the purchase status that Apple StoreKit verifies on your device.
When you download a subscription-only pack, the app sends Apple’s signed transaction to the Onfeel server. It contains transaction details such as the transaction ID, product, purchase and expiry times and storefront country — not your name or email. The server checks, only while handling that request, that it is a valid subscription signed by Apple, and does not store or log it.
Market downloads and website visits
When the app fetches the market list, previews or pack files, or when you visit this website, your IP address and basic connection information about your device or browser reach our hosting provider, Cloudflare, as with any internet connection. Cloudflare processes it to deliver the service and keep it secure (for example, blocking attacks). We do not use this information to identify you, and we do not collect or keep it ourselves.
The website uses no cookies and no analytics. It only remembers your language choice in your browser’s local storage.
Service providers and international processing
The following providers process information to the extent needed to run these features. Depending on their global infrastructure, processing may take place outside your country.
- Apple Inc. — app distribution, payments, iCloud Drive (Apple Privacy Policy)
- Cloudflare, Inc. — website and market server hosting, content delivery (Cloudflare Privacy Policy)
Retention and deletion
Material on your device stays there until you delete it or delete the app. Material in iCloud Drive can be deleted from iCloud Drive. Our server holds no per-user data, so there is nothing for us to keep or delete. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription — cancel it separately in Settings.
If you email us, we use your email address and message to reply and handle your request, and delete them afterwards unless the law requires us to keep them.
Your rights
The only personal information we hold is email you send us. To access, correct or delete it, or to restrict its processing, contact us at the address below. Material on your device and in iCloud Drive is under your control; we cannot view or delete it remotely.
Children and teens
Onfeel is a tool for teens and adults preparing for exams. We do not ask for age or collect personal information, and the app works the same way for everyone.
